Dec 3, 1989 Because of the heavy rain, my Milford Track hike was cancelled, so I started the Kepler Track instead.
The three day Kepler was very interesting and featured a cave near Luxmore Hut, a ridge walk, and a large waterfall at Iris Burn Hut. At the latter hut there were 45 hikers and only 40 bunks. Later in the tourist season this overcrowded situation is quite common.
