Chile: Volunteer at Alihuen

Photo: House at Alihuen

March 4-15, 2019 Jeroen and his family lived in the house he built. There was also a garage and shop, a non-connected addition to the house, a smokehouse, and a cabana rented out to tourists. Jeroen had the 1st 70 meters completed of an ultimate 400 meter handicapped trail into his private forest.

Our day would start with breakfast at 9 AM. Jeroen would prepare fresh baked bread, jam, and eggs or cheese. Instant coffee was also available. We would work from 10 AM to 1 PM and then have lunch, which was the big meal of the day. Then we would work from 2 PM until 4 or 5 PM. The evening meal was also bread and cheese.
