Camino de Santiago - Moissac to St Jean

April 4, 2014 We initially had some confusion of where to find the GR65, but an english speaking Maulause bakery worker told us the nearest bridge was being repaired so we had to backtrack, adding about an additional two km. We walked about 33 km and got to a community gite in Cestet Arrouy.

We found the gite was locked and it took about an hour to find the village manager. The gite had nice facilities and we cooked a meal together. Later, Bernard from Switzerland showed up.

April 5, 2014 I was somewhat fatigued and felt that I needed a shorter day. Marina wanted to walk long days, and so that was the end of our time together.

The walk in the morning was very muddy in places. Around midday, I reached Lectoure, a nice place to visit. I met Bernard at a cafe and enjoyed a coffee.

In early afternoon, I reached Marsolan and found the gite. I let myself in and found a bed, washed clothes, etc. Later the couple, friends of the owners, showed up and helped me get settled. Then Bernard came too. It was an enjoyable stay.

I went for a walk in Marsolan to find a grocery, but none was open. I met Randy, an american from Florida. He was the only American I met in France.
