Alto del Perdon
November 16, 2019 It was 30 degrees F to start at 7:45 AM, but not raining. It was a long way to walk out of Pamplona and then past Zizur Mayor. Then it is a climb to the top of Alto del Perdon at 770 meters, and is where the metal figures of pilgrims are set. One of the South Korean women, Yeah Eu, was there. It was snowing a little at the top.
Then it was a long descent into the valley. The Koreans passed me on the way. It sprinkled a little in the afternoon. Got to Puente la Reina around 2 PM.
I stayed at a private hostel for 15 euros. The owners, a married couple from Brazil, were a little weird in a new age way. Very nice place and only 3 people stayed. I shared a dorm room with Penelope from Pamplona. She was spending the weekend there. Had a beer and some bar food that evening.
