Puente de Orbigo
December 5, 2019 The owners had an odd rule that you had to stay in your bed until at least 7:30 AM. After a very large breakfast I headed out at 8:00 on another clear sunny day. I caught up with Steve after about 6 km. We had a coffee later in San Justa de la Vega, then ran into Laura from Switzerland. We stopped at a spot along the road where a Spanish man lives and offers a variety of food and drinks to pilgrims.
Steve and I got to Astorga about 2:30 and checked into the large albergue. Only 5 euros, the place is a little cold inside. Very friendly managers. I had a light dinner in the albergue.
