Villafranca del Bierzo in fog
December 9, 2019 Had a light breakfast at a bar as we left the albergue. We had good weather, but we walked much on a paved walkway beside the road. We walked with Jacob and Chan part of the way. Got to Vega de Valcarce about 2:30. 4 Koreans arrived at albergue just before us. Then Jacob and Chan.
Today was another holiday, but grocery stores were open. I found a local stout beer that was very good. The Koreans cooked a large elaborate meal. I heated up some canned beans. Many of the pilgrims are very talented at preparing a good meal from limited grocery items and kitchens without much to prepare food with. Koreans especially.
