December 16-18, 2008 I stayed for a few days at the Lotus Guest House in Bodinath, a large mostly Tibetan community on the east side of Kathmandu. I visited the important Buddhist monastery of Kopan.
On the 18th I went to the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath to view some of the cremations that take place there. One section of the crematory was for higher caste Hindus. Lower caste Hindus and Buddhists were cremated in a separate area.
