November 1, 2023 We left the hotel at 6:30 AM to get to airport for our 8 AM flight to Pokhara. The flight was less than 30 minutes. Our guide, Ram, and porters Kali and Ewass came to pick us up at 9:30 in a jeep with driver. It was almost a 3 hour drive to Jhinu, the start of the trek. The last hour + was on a rough mountain road.
Initially we crossed a 280 meter bridge to get to Jhinu where we had lunch. Then we climbed up countless of stone steps to eventually get to Chhomrong. There were many walkers, both coming and going. One group was 20 loud polish people.
We stayed in a Chhomrong lodge. Our room had a toilet and wash basin. We had dinner at the lodge dining room. Ram threw us off by wanting to change our schedule and add a day to our trek. We decided not to do so.
