Oct 6, 1993 Nita and I met Phil for breakfast, then took taxi's to Kopan Monastery to check out the facilities and sign up for meditation class. Nita decided to do 8 day Tibet tour beginning Saturday.
Oct 7-8, 1993 At Immigration Office I stood in line for 2 & 1/2 hours for Langtang trek permit. The next morning I rode bus to a landslide area 10 kilometers from Dhunche. I walked the rest of the way.

Oct 9, 1993 Left at 7:30 and got to Sabrebensi at 10:30 AM. From there it was 2 hours very steep uphill. After Kakdinma I entered a pine forest and the trail became mostly level until I got to Sherpa Village at 3:15. I was too tired to go on to Lama Hotel. The rustic hotel was all right except for the dog that barked from 2:00 AM until daybreak.
