Thursday, June 23, 1988 As our bus neared Lima, a born again Peruvian got up and gave a passionate aisle pitch for his books. We arrived in Lima about 9:00 AM. We picked our stuff up at the South American Explorers Club and then checked into the Youth Hostel. After lunch at the Pizza American, we went to the art museum. Dinner was at Yugis.

Friday, June 24, 1988 We went to the artisans market and did some shopping. Later we went to Miraflores. Most stores were closed, since it was a 1/2 day holiday. We met Clea, a Minnesota woman doing social work in Lima, at the Haiti Cafe. We had first met Clea on the Inca Trail. Steve, a teacher touring with a group of students, Joined us for dinner, ice cream, and cupaccino.
