March 9, 2007 My bus to Buenos Aires left a 10 AM on Friday. After a few hours headed east, the flat landscape featured many apple and fruit orchards. But for most of the rest of the trip, the scrubby cattle country of the pampas was the main scenery. I sat next to an Israeli woman.
The bus arrived in Buenos Aires early Saturday morning. I took the Subte (subway) from the nearby train station to San Telmo where I found Oohostal and checked in. Found a laundry and looked for a place to change money. Visited the South America Explorers clubhouse and got a recommendation for a Spanish school.
