April 26-27, 1993 Went to Archeological Museum when I had some time and also visited the CDC staff. At BG Plan I had some talks with Dr Stefan and others on disability and other possible products.

They had some wild ideas about starting their own private hospital. At other times Plamen M proposed a product to insure wedding costs. Monika wanted an insurance policy on opera singers voices.

April 29, 1993 Went to Plovdiv in afternoon for an agents seminar. Was with Stefan, Efgeni, Monika, and Albena. I gave a talk to potential agents and gave an interview to local radio.

While the agents meeting was going on, I was standing in the hall with Monika, and she commented on how the new Bulgarian businessmen can always be late or absent for appointments. I think she understood my growing frustration. I was rarely able to have any meetings with Plamen M. During working days, Albena was frequently absent with no explanation, leaving me with no interpreter. If I was lucky Monika would be there to interpret for me, but it had to be an unplanned hassle for her.

As we were talking, Albena walked up and we quickly stopped talking. She looked at us suspiciously.

April 30 - May 2, 1993 On Friday, Albena did not arrive until 2:30 in afternoon. We talked to Ogi and then Evgeni. I expressed my displeasure with inability to see Mironov and her absences.

I relaxed most of Saturday. Briefly saw Plamen and Albena at my apartment but Plamen did not feel well and had to go.

On Sunday I got to talk for two hours with Plamen and then he & Albena took me to lunch and to the Alexander Nevsky church icon collection. He bragged about how he had manipulated public opinion in the past by misrepresenting facts in his newpaper articles.
