Josh found a place to camp near a group of Canadians. The Canadians, three men and a women, represented an outdoor supply retailer. They were taking pictures of each other for their catalog. Peruvian porters carried most of their equipment. I presume that the equipment sold in the catalog comes without porters.
Next to our tent, a sign for a toilet points downhill into the woods. The toilet turns out to be a few rocks above a running stream, with a loose plastic sheet hanging from trees in front of the rocks for some measure of privacy.
