March 1, 2019 We arrived in Puerto Varas about 8:45 AM and walked to our hostel. Spent the day walking around the small town. At the hostel very friendly staff and guests. That evening had some local Chester brewery beers at a downtown pub.

March 2, 2019 We took the 8:45 AM bus to Petrohue. We hiked the trails that were in the proximity of Volcan Orsorno. The volcano was mostly in the clouds all day. The bus back was at 3 PM.

March 3, 2019 We took a minibus to Puerto Montt, then a bus to Ancud. Because there is no bridge yet, the bus ride included a ferry to Chiloe Island. From Ancud in mid-afternoon we took a taxi to Alihuen farm. Jeroen greeted us and showed us around.
