March 31, 2014 We walked to Cahors, a large town. We stayed at the Jeanes de Quency an older building. The breakfast the next morning featured coffee that was prepared the night before. It had to be reheated by microwave.
Once or twice each day, we would see a yellow plastic tag attached to a tree or bush next to the chemin. The tag would have a saying or meditation written on it in french and signed by Phillipe. Sometimes there would be a green tag in english.

April 1, 2014 We walked to Montcuq, the gite was about 1 kilometer farther. Marina was very upset about this as she would have to walk back to town to buy food. She ended up not having to do so and loving the place.
The gite was a converted barn, with each stable a place for a bed. The other pelerine was Ruth from Switzerland. That night we had nettle/asparagus soup, duck with potatoes, and a raspberry tart. Also red and white wine. After dinner we tried some of the homemade liquor combinations.
