Camino de Santiago - Moissac to St Jean

April 11, 2014 - I walked with Bernard and Didier until we got to Arthez de Bearn. The fast swiss continued on without me. I passed Noel on the way to Arthez de Bearn. Noel would be taking a different route soon as he was going to take the northern coastal Spain camino to Santiago.

At the bakery-owned gite, I shared a room with Lynn. Patrick, Olivier and Eric also stayed there. In the afternoon we went for a beer. The shared dinner was a great meal, salad, pork wrapped in bacon, and the usual unbeatable bread and wine.

April 12, 2014 For breakfast this morning we walked about 600 yards to the bakery for breakfast. It was served at a table between the ovens and the bakery store front. So as we enjoyed fresh bread, cake, and coffee we saw fresh bread and other baked goods being carried to the storefront. Great smells.

I walked with Lynn and dog to Navarreux. The other pilgrims arrived there too. The gite was run by a hippie-like couple. They served a great group meal. In addition, there was also a group of 3 french traveling by car. None our foot pilgrim group liked them much.
