Camino de Santiago - St Jean to Burgos

April 22, 2014 It was a muddy trail in the morning. It was strange passing thru Ciruena, a mostly empty housing development.

In Santa Domingo I mailed my two French guide books to Sofia in Madrid, but later I learned they never got there.

I stayed at a strange private albergue in Granon. The owner refused to stamp our credencials. There were two Aussie women and 3 French. Good companions. We shared dinner and breakfast.

April 23, 2014 Walked to Villafranca Montes de Oca and stayed at San Anton Abad, great place. Had dinner with Eric from Switzerland and an American from New York.

April 24, 2014 A shorter day, walked to Atapuerca. Stayed at albergue El Peregrino with aussies, South Koreans and Swiss.

It was cold inside the albergue. I was glad to have my sleeping bag. Usually blankets are provided at the albergues and I just use my sleepsheet. During the entire trip I probably use the sleeping bag 15 to 20 nights.
