Farm in french countryside
October 22, 2019 I walked the GR routes as the road was quite busy. Despite dire predictions of rain, not much fell. Nice countryside views. Stayed at convent in Fanjeaux. There were 3 other French pilgrims staying here. We had a nice dinner together of soup, quiche, and crepes provided by the nuns. Walked 18 km.
Oct 23-25, 2019 With left leg feeling like shin splints, I took bus to Carcassonne and checked into a residential motel near the castle. I toured the walled castle. I spent most of the time icing leg and resting.
