Camino de Santiago: Logrono to San Juan de Ortega

Jorg, Laura & Steve

November 23, 2019 We left with Laura from Switzerland about 7:30. Though not raining it was chilly and windy. We went through 2 villages before we found a bar for coffee. The bar had a volunteer from Australia who had a conversation with Steve about their homeland. Had lunch at an odd place where tree stumps, branches, etc were painted or employed in an artistic way.

We got to our albergue in San Juan de Ortega about 2 PM. Laura was camping out somewhere tonight. Our albergue is a bar/restaurant in a small town, so our meals will be here. We have 3 of the 7 beds available here. The other four beds were South Koreans.

We had the set meal of a stew, empanada and salad with wine. During our meal the Koreans were very loud at the next table. The owner later asked them to be quiet.
