Hornillas del Camino in distance
November 26, 2019 I left the pension a little before 8 AM. It was drizzling a little but not cold. Later there was rain and I was happy to get a coffee in Tardajos. Soon after I left I met a number of other pilgrims and one was Nicholas from Argentina. We had gone our separate ways in Arudy, France on November 8. I walked with him to Hornillas, catching up on our travel experiences.
Checked into the Municipal Albergue there. Later there were about 15 total pilgrims. A Michigan woman and her daughter had started from Burgos, this being their first day of several planned days. But it was too difficult and they took bus back to Burgos next day. The manager cooked a potato and chorizo soup and shared it with me.
