Camino de Santiago: Castrojerez to Moratinos

Rest spot on Via Aquatana

November 30, 2019 Because I had a long walk, I started at 6:30 in the dark. It was drizzling and very windy. Very uncomfortable since there was no protection on the flat plain.

I saw Lily's tent and talked to her boyfriend as he was starting to break camp. After 18 km stopped for a coffee and talked to Brazilian couple who had just caught up with me. Unfortunately the woman had foot problems and would have to stop for the day.

I continued on in a driving rain, walking about 30 km, and finally got to Moratinos at 2:30 and checked into hostal. I was the only one there that night. Nice to be able to spread out and dry things. Had a great dinner in nearby restaurant.
