Storks nest in bell tower
December 4, 2019 Had breakfast in kitchen. As I was packing up to leave Korean woman asked me if it was possible to stay another day in Leon. I told her very likely since it was a private albergue. The two decided to stay.
Finding my way out of Leon was a little difficult. Not all the intersections were well marked. The temp was 1 C, but warmed up as sun came out. Another good day for walking. The 1st 10 km was on sidewalks or asphalt, but after that it was more comfortable dirt tracks.
Got to San Martin del Camino about 1:30 and Albergue Vieri was at the beginning of town. When I told owners I had stayed here before they gave me hugs and air kisses, saying I was like family. Had a communal dinner of beef, fish, potatoes and salad. There were around 20 pilgrims at the albergue.
