Mar 9, 1979 The weather was sunny and calm. I rode 80 miles over a scenic hilly and mountainous landscape. At 4:30 PM I arrived in Frejus, another old Roman town. The hostel was on the outer edge of town. The only other travelers were some mischievious German youths.

Mar 10, 1979 Much of the day was spent touring the Roman ruins of Frejus. It was disappointing to see that many were fragmented, small, and on private land . So that the tourist had no access to the site. The old Gothic cathedral and the Saturday market were more interesting. Shared dinner with 2 German woman at the hostel.
