France Walk - Sorges to St Foy le Grande

September 25, 2017 I left a little before Louise. A pleasant day for walking, I stopped for coffee in Douzillac. I got to Mussidan early in the afternoon after walking 24 km (569 km total), but had to wait until 5 PM for the municipal refuge to open. I happened to meet Louise in a cafe before then.

We found a sign that the refuge had moved, fortunately a local led us to the new location. A women finally did come a little after 5 PM to open up the place and get us settled. It was a nice facility, but in an old run down building. We heard a lot of stomping above us and later realized it was a dance class. Later we went for a meal at a biker bar.

September 26, 2017 Today was a long day and I left early at 6:20 AM to get a headstart. However, the dark and the lack of signage made it very confusing finding my way at first. I managed to get to Port St Foy early in the afternoon. I had walked 33 km (602 km total). I waited until 4 PM for the refuge to open.

After checking in and having a shower, waited for Mary & Bernie to show, which they did after 5 PM. After the refuge manager left, Louise arrived. She was going to stay at another place, but it was a bad dump. We went to a nearby grocery store and had dinner at the refuge.
