Photo: Worn flat rock (alter?), Palenque
November 21, 1983 After a breakfast of large cooking bananas, I went to see the ruins of Palenque. It was so humid my glasses kept fogging up. The trip to Palenque was well worth it.
Later, at the village I changed travellers checks. Had to wait a long time. The Mexicans in Chiapas were not as accomodating as Guatemalans. I took the afternoon bus back to San Cristobol and arrived at 10 PM.
