October 31, 2008 Had breakfast of oatmeal and Tibetan bread. Tibetan bread was much like the Sioux Indian fry bread that we have in South Dakota. As I approached the village of Paiya I encountered 7 mountain bike racers, most of them Japanese.
Once I got to Chheplung I saw many tourists. Most tourists come to the Everest region by flying into nearby Lukla, rather than walking the distance from Jiri. I stayed in Chheplung for the night.
