November 1, 2008 There were many tourist groups and yaks on the crowded, dusty trail. Prices for meals were about double of what they were 2 days ago. Near Jorsale, the Everest park permits were checked, as were the TIMS card.
The last 2 hours to Namche Bazaar were up a steep trail. At Namche, I checked into the Buddha lodge. Across the hall from me were the Germans, Annett & Lutz. They reminded me that today was the weekly market in Namche. The market was rather spread out and had mostly goods for Nepalis and not too much for tourists.
