November 23, 2008 I was up by 5 AM, had breakfast and got on the trail at 6 AM. Though it was cold, initially there was little wind. I was relieved to get on the trail, because I was sure a steady up hill climb would warm my cold body.
I got to the pass at 8 AM, where it was very windy. At the pass was a small warming hut where a man sold hot drinks and maintained a fire in the stove.
