October 31, 2023 We had breakfast at the hotel. The coffee at the hotel was terrible. We first went to the Himalayan Java coffee shop in the Thamel area. Got a few things we needed and then Bernie found a small barbershop. The power went out as the barber started and he made do with phone lights. After the haircut, he also gave Bernie a massage.
After lunch at a cheap cafe, we walked a long route back to the hotel. There we sorted our stuff out of what we needed for the trek and what we could leave behind. Went to dinner that night at the Blueberry Kitchen next to the hotel.
