November 5, 2023 Mary decided to not take walk to Annapurna Base Camp. Bernie & I joined Ram and Kali at 4:30 AM to start walk at ABC. We had headlamps and lights on phones to make our way. We mostly passed other groups on our way up the rough trail. We got to ABC just as the sun was starting to come up.
We joined the hundreds of other tourists taking pictures in the cold morning air. We then had breakfast before we started to head back to MBC. We saw a helicopter fly in to rescue a couple people with altitude sickness.
We left MBC about 10 AM and got to Deurali about 12:30 PM. We rested most of the rest of the day.
