Oct 10, 1993 Hiked to Lama Hotel and had breakfast there. Then onto Kyangjin Gompa, about 2 hours past Langtang. Saw two Danish women coming down, one had altitude sickness. Next to the very busy hotel was a cheese factory, with very good yak cheese.
Oct 11-13, 1993 Great views in the morning. Walked to Lama Hotel and stayed night of 11th. The next day walked very steep down, followed by steep uphill. Got to Syabru in early afternoon and stayed at a hotel with a scenic view. On the 13th had easy hike to Dhunche.

Oct 14, 1993 Too late to buy a bus ticket, I had to ride on roof of bus back to Kathmandu. It was a nice sunny day and I enjoyed great views with the 30 other people on the rooftop. Whenever we got close to a police checkpoint we had to get off of roof and walk through the checkpoint, because riding on the top of bus was illegal. 8 hours to Kathmandu was a long time.
Oct 15-17, 1993 Relaxed in Thamel area of Kathmandu. Connected with Phil while waiting for Nita to return from Tibet trip. When she arrived on 16th Neila, Phil, and I were at ACME to greet her.
