Photo: Trail near Outeiro
April 27, 2024 I said goodby to Mario and Tizianna, who was walking the entire 34 km to Santiago. It was raining when I left and rained for about 3 hours. I walked mostly on the trails and partially on the highway. Shortly before I got to the albergue at Outeiro I ran into a small boar that seemed a little aggressive. But ran away when I picked up a stick.
The Outeiro hospitalero has a reputation for being rude, but he seemed OK to me. Lars & Lens plus three French people arrived later. The albergue was large, modern and clean. It is a shame that pilgrims avoid it because of comments on Gronze. The main negative is that the kitchen has no utensils, plates, pots or anything other than a microwave and a refrigerator.

April 28, 2024 It was a foggy morning when I left. I stopped for coffee mid morning. I got to Santiago about 11:30 AM. At 3 PM I checked into the studio apartment I rented. I rested for the next couple of days before I took a train to Madrid. I returned to the US on May 3.
