Photo: Band at Plaza de la Constitution
February 18, 2007 On Sunday morning, I walked to the Plaza de la Constitution and watched a military band play for the tourists. I then continued on to the Plaza de Armas and saw more of the downtown area. Santiago was warm, especially between 2 PM and 4 PM.

The next two days, I saw more of central Santiago. It was a pleasant city, though not a place that tourists spent a lot of time at. At the hostel I got to know an older Australian couple (about my age) from Canberra that were taking Spanish classes. He had recently retired from many years in city government.
