One day, I went to the Plaza de Mayo and saw the march of the Mothers of the Disappeared. In the 1970`s, the military kidnapped and killed many people. These mothers of those that disappeared, demonstrate every Thursday at 3:30 in the Plaza. They are quite old now, but there are many supporters and the weekly event attracts many tourists.
In the parks I would often see many cats. Generally they seemed to be strays, but well fed.
