The next day I rested and prepared for a three day hike up into the mountains. Watched the free movie on the hotel VCR, Cruising. The German loved the movie.
I left in the early morning trying to follow the Golddiggers Trail, as decribed in Brandt s book. For the next 3 days I enjoyed great views, good weather, and hiking. I looked forward to seeing another movie upon return to the hotel. But the German showed Cruising, again.

May 19, 1992 I took bus to Huarina, then changed to a bus to Copacabana. The bus ride involved a ferry crossing at Lake Titicaca. Stayed at the Hotel Emparador. Enjoyed the sights of the town for the next couple of days.
