July 2, 1992 We took the bus to Latacunga and stayed at the Residencial El Salto, a bad choice. The next day we took a 6:30 AM bus to Zumbagua, and then hiked/hitched to the Laguna Quilotoa with a couple from England and Netherlands. The lake was at the bottom of an old volcano. We all bought some folk art from the Indians there. Then returned to Zumbagua and Latacunga. After seeing a little of the Saturday food market we went back to Quito.
