July 5, 1992 Presidential Election Day. No public transportation anywhere, no soccer games, no nothing except voting. At night we went with Sylvia and Gabriela to the Hotel Quito where there was a victory party for Sixto.
July 9, 1992 Final day at school, but I was late to class because of the bus strike. Drivers wanted to increase fare from $.04 to $0.10.
